Selamat Menyambut TRI HARI SUCI and Happy Easter!

People are often unreasonable and self-centered
Forgive them anyway...
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives
Be kind anyway...
If you are honest, people may cheat you
Be honest anyway...
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow
Do good anyway...
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough
Give your best anyway...
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God
It was never between you and them anyway

By Mother Teresa

Let me not pray to be sheltered from dangers,
but to be fearless in facing them.

Let me not beg for the stilling of my pain,
but for the heart to conquer it.

Let me not to look for allies in life's battlefield,
but to my own strength

Let me not to crave in anxious fear to be saved,
but hope for the patience to win my freedom.

Grant that I may not be a coward,
feeling Your mercy in my success alone

But let me find the grasp of Your hand in my failure

By Rabindranath Tagore

What Makes Us Human

What makes us human? let's see the answer from Jane Goodall perception, a primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist, and United Nation Peace Messenger of Peace...

My name is Jane Goodall and my age is 80. My job is giving people hope. I learned from my mother the great importance of support. When I was a child, she supported all my crazy love of animals. When I wanted to go off to Africa at age 10 and everybody laughed at me, she supported me, and she simply said something I took to heart and always repeat:

"If you really want something, you must be prepared to work very hard. Take advantage of opportunity, and above all never give up."

In my life right now... I'm 80. There's so much to do. So I would like to go back, and give myself a bit longer. As it is, I don't know how long I have to live, but certainly, every year takes me closer to the end, whenever that is. So there's this feeling of desperation. So many places I want to go, so many people to talk to, so many hearts to reach. I'm just me, and I try to use this electronic stuff. It does work, to a certain extent. But it's not the same as being there, and sensing a person, and trying to get in where it seems impossible to go.

Education is not a sort of thing, we think about when children go to school. Education is learning from experience. We continue to be educated throughout life. Every day bring its own kind of education, and we can learn from it. If we keep our eyes and ears open, and think of every day as an adventure, then each day will give us a lesson.

I have many kinds of happiness. I'm completely happy when I'm alone in nature. I love to be alone in nature. It makes me happy. I'm really happy sitting with friends in the evening, particularly around a campfire, telling stories, drinking a bit of red wine. I'm totally happy when I'm walking with a dog. Dogs make me really, really happy. You can be yourself, with a dog. A dog is always him- or herself with me. When I was a child, my great teacher was a dog. A dog who taught me we're just part of the animal kingdom. We're not the only beings with personalities, and mind capable of reasoning. Certainly not the only beings with emotions like happiness, sadness, fear, despair. Nor are we the only beings capable of giving and receiving love.

The biggest problem that we have as environmental activist is to fight the power of money. There's absolutely no question. People in government truly agree, when I talk with them, that this mine should not go ahead, that dam should not be build... Monsanto should not be allowed to test its seeds here. But when it's time... It's corruption, really. The might of money, the corporations that hold governments in their hands, because of lobbying power... It's really frightening. If I were allowed to change a few things, if I had this magis power, I would like, without causing any pain or suffering, to reduce the number of people on the planet. There's too many of us. Our planet has finite resources, and we're using them up. That will mean so much suffering in the future. I would also like to alleviate poverty.

When you're poor, never mind the individual suffering, you destroy the environment to survive. You have to cut down the trees to grow a bit of food for your family, or to make charcoal. Or you have to buy the cheapest food, even it did cause horrendous suffering to animals or slave child labor somewhere else. So alleviate poverty. And maybe the hardest of all, but what I really would love to change, is the unsustainable lifestyle of everybody else. We're just greedy! I always think of Gandhi's saying, "This planet can provide for human need, but not for human greed." That's so right!

Music: Lana Del Rey; Album Lust For Life (2017)

Finally, Lana Del Rey released her newest album. As I said before I like and adore her music much. Her first single called Love. Lana wrote this song by herself and with her mates, Emile Haynie, Benny Blanco and Rick Nowels.

I first suspect the lyrics refer to stupid young teenegers who falling in love each other like crazy, but evidently it intended to Lana fans. The music is so typical of Lana, smooth-soft retro with deep meaning. Intrument music in the beginning makes kind of nice beat. Unlike her regular song, this LOVE lyrics not too philosophic. Well, grab your phone then, link to youtube and then just listening this incredible song dear.

LOVE

Look at you kids, with your vintage music
Coming through satellites while cruisin'
You're part of the past, but now you're the future
Signals crossing can get confusing

It's enough just to make you feel crazy, crazy, crazy
Sometimes. it's enough just to make you feel crazy, crazy, crazy

You get ready, you get all dressed up
To go nowhere in particular
Back to work or the coffee shop
Doesn't matter cause it's enough
To be young and in love
To be young and in love

Look at you kids, you know you're the coolest
The world is yours and you can't refuse it
Seen so much, you could get the blues
But that don't mean that you should abuse it

Minum Kopi Part I

What kind of drink that makes me addict instead of milk? Coffee is the answer dear.

Mungkin saya menyukai kopi sedikit terlambat (baru 7 tahun terakhir) dan out off purpose for the first time.

Alasan kedua, sejak Februari jadwal kerja saya sangat unpredictable.
Wow.... saya langsung mupeng (muka pengen) dooong. I'm sooooo excited..!!!

Berikut reviewnya:

1. Toko Kopi Tuku

Alamat: Jalan Cipete Raya No. 7 Cilandak, Jakarta Selatan

Ordered: Kopi hitam tetangga, Kopi susu tetangga, 1 risol ayam, 1 carrot cake

Kopi Hitam Tetangga memiliki tekstur liquid yang pekat. After taste kind of heavy, taste acid and nuts flavor in one gulp. The fragrant itself feels fresh. Kesimpulannya taste kopi Tuku sangat strong, dense and acid. Penampilan kopi termasuk standar dan sederhana. Teknik grinding dan proses menyeduh menggunakan mesin kopi modern .Untuk menu snack, menurut sahabat saya risole ayamnya enak (I didn't taste it since I'm vegetarian), sementara untuk carrot cake lebih terasa gurih daripada manis. Saat dimakan bersamaan dengan minum kopi hitam tetangga, it feels so damn good. Conclusion: above average coffee quality with low price. Recommended if you looking for one of good coffee sensation instead of hangout place.

2. Sophie Authentic French Cafe Bakery

Alamat: Jalan Cipete Raya No. 11 Cilandak, Jakarta Selatan

Ordered: Espresso and croisant. (Sebenarnya saya hanya icip-icip saja akibat kembung yang saya rasakan)

Karena jenis espresso alias nama lainnya kopi mafia, so pasti kekuatannya lebih tinggi. Saya hanya taste 1 sendok makan dan hasilnya kind of bitter but light taste. Karna tidak terlalu pekat saya langsung dapat merasakan after taste acid and the fragrance is very smooth. Teknik grinder yang digunakan dengan mesin, tempatnya modern style, langganan para ekspatriat and coozy for hangout with your mates.

3. Jakarta Coffee House

Alamat: Jalan Cipete Raya No.2 Cilandak Jakarta Selatan

Ordered: Hot Petung Black Coffee

Metode grinder dan seduh yang dilakukan adalah manual and honestly it makes the taste even better. The smell is soooo good, light but tasty, strong acid after taste and give fresh or calm feeling.

I am kind of love this cafe actually, its wall design well educated and coffee processing information adding your knowledge about it. Just one thing though, this place is smoking area.

4. Anomali Coffee

Alamat: Gedung Setia Budi One, Kuningan Jakarta Selatan

Ordered: Espresso and Cappucino

I have been taste this coffee before, let's say around 3 years ago.

I prefer Petung hot black coffee from Jakarta House Coffee. Kenapa? rasanya yang ringan terasa nyaman di perut saya, after taste kind of citrus, aromanya enak sekali dan menenangkan. Teknik brewing yang manual semakin meningkatkan cita rasanya and I really love it.

Anyway... sekian dulu report icip-icip kopinya...
Wait for our next journey from Bali at part II article :D
